What we collect

What Our Auction Collection Service Covers

Auction stock is sold as seen, which means it might not start, might not roll and might not have keys. Every collection is planned on that basis, so a surprise on arrival does not become a wasted journey.

Auction Purchases

Vehicles collected from auction centres once the release paperwork is in order, and delivered straight to you.

Online & Distance Sales

Non-Runners & No Keys

Vehicles that will not start, will not roll or have no keys at all, winched aboard rather than driven on.

Untaxed Or Without An MOT

No tax, no MOT and no insurance is no obstacle when the vehicle travels on the back of a truck.

How Our Auction Collection Works

Four steps from the moment you send the details to the moment the vehicle is on your drive. No apps, no membership, no waiting on hold.

1

Send Us The Details

Call or WhatsApp the collection address, the vehicle registration and the release reference.

2

We Confirm The Slot

We confirm the price, the collection window and the delivery address before anything is booked.

3

Collected And Checked

The driver collects, checks the vehicle against the paperwork and photographs it before loading.

4

Delivered To You

The vehicle is delivered to your home, forecourt or workshop and signed off on arrival.

Why buyers call us

Why Choose Premier Recovery For Auction Collection In London

We are a recovery operator, not a broker passing your job to whoever is cheapest that day. When you ring, you speak to the people who send the truck.

Runners And Non-Runners

No keys, no drive, flat tyres or seized brakes. If it will not roll, skates and a winch come out with the driver.

No Tax Or MOT Needed

On the back of a truck the vehicle does not need to be road legal. For most auction buyers that is the whole point.

Booked Around The Release

Auction release windows are tight and storage charges are not. We work to the deadline you have been given.

Photographed On Collection

The vehicle is photographed before loading, so its condition at the point of collection is on record.

Price Agreed Upfront

You are told what the collection costs before we set off. No meters running, no surprise invoice on delivery.

Trade & Private Buyers

Dealers, traders and private buyers all use the same line, for single cars or multi-vehicle runs.

Every kind of auction lot

Collections We Handle Every Week

Sold as seen covers a lot of ground. These are the vehicles that turn up most often.

Bought At Auction, Sold As Seen

Vehicles that may or may not start. We plan for the worst so the collection is never wasted.

No Keys Supplied

Barn finds, repossessions and salvage lots with no keys at all, winched on and strapped down.

Will Not Start Or Select A Gear

Seized engines, flat batteries and stuck gearboxes. All routine for a tilt bed and a winch.

Flat Or Missing Wheels

Vehicles sitting on flats or on axle stands. Tell us in advance and the skates come along.

No Tax, MOT Or Insurance

Perfectly normal for auction stock. Nothing is driven on the road, so nothing needs to be road legal.

Long-Distance Buys

Vehicles bought hundreds of miles away, collected and brought back in a single move.

Straight answers on price

What Affects The Cost Of An Auction Collection

Every collection is quoted individually. These are the five things a controller will ask about before giving you a price.

Distance

The collection postcode and the delivery postcode set most of the price.

Vehicle Type

Weight and size decide which bed we send.

Condition

Whether it drives on under its own power or has to be winched.

Timing

Same-day and tight release windows cost more than a flexible slot.

Number Of Vehicles

Several vehicles on one route brings the cost per vehicle down.

No surprises. You get a clear figure before the collection is booked, and that is the figure you pay. If the vehicle turns out to be in a worse state than described — no keys when keys were promised, or sitting on flats — we tell you before we do anything, not afterwards.

Before we collect

What We Need Before We Arrive

Auction and trade collections fail on paperwork far more often than on mechanics. Five minutes up front saves a wasted journey.

  • The exact collection address, including which compound or gate to use
  • The release or gate pass reference, and any collection deadline you have been given
  • The vehicle make, model and registration
  • Whether it starts, rolls, steers and brakes, and whether keys are supplied
  • Any known damage, missing wheels, or vehicles sitting on axle stands
  • The delivery address and who will be there to receive it

Release paperwork not cleared yet?

Tell us before we book. Auction centres will not hand a vehicle over until payment has cleared and the release is showing on their system, and a driver turning up early is a wasted journey you may end up paying for. Give us the deadline instead and we will book the slot to fit it.

Call The Recovery Line

Once the details are confirmed, a controller will book the truck and give you a collection window.

Common questions

Auction Collection FAQs

The questions our controllers are asked most often. If yours is not here, ring the line and ask.

Do I need to tax or insure the vehicle before you collect it?

No. The vehicle travels on the back of a truck rather than being driven, so it does not need to be taxed, tested or insured for that journey. You will of course need all of that in place before you drive it yourself.

Can you collect a vehicle with no keys?

Yes. No-key collections are routine. The vehicle is winched onto the bed and strapped down. Tell us in advance so the winch and skates come out with the driver.

How quickly can you collect?

It depends on the collection point and the release window. Same-day and next-day slots are often possible. Give the controller the deadline you have been set and we will tell you honestly whether we can hit it.

What paperwork do you need?

The collection address, the release or gate pass reference and the vehicle registration. Auction centres will not release a vehicle until payment has cleared and the release is showing on their system.

What if the vehicle will not start when you arrive?

That is expected on auction stock and is not a problem. Every collection is planned on the assumption it may not run. If it has seized brakes or is sitting on flat tyres, tell us in advance so the skates come along.

Do you photograph the vehicle?

Yes. The driver photographs the vehicle before loading, so its condition at the point of collection is on record for both of us.

Can you collect more than one vehicle at a time?

Yes. Multi-vehicle runs are planned as a route rather than as separate jobs, which brings the cost per vehicle down. Give the controller all the collection points and we will price the run.

Do you deliver to a private address?

Yes. Home addresses, forecourts, workshops and storage yards are all fine. Tell us about any access issues such as a narrow lane, a steep driveway or parking restrictions.

Do you collect from anywhere in the UK?

Yes. Collections run nationwide, including Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Distance is the main factor in the price, so give us both postcodes.

Do you offer accounts for dealers?

Yes. Dealers, traders and exporters with regular volume can arrange account terms. Ask the controller when you call and we will set it up.
